Center for Gender Research and Social Sciences, Graduate School of Social Sciences, Hitotsubashi University

About us

The Center for Gender Research and Social Sciences (abbreviated as CGraSS) was established in the Graduate School of Social Sciences in April 2007. The activities of the Center consist of three components.
Firstly, the Center aims to promote the integration of gender studies into the fields of social sciences and the humanities by encouraging scholarly exchange between domestic and international researchers and research institutions.
Secondly, under the auspices of the Gender Education Program (GenEP), the Center aims to systematically incorporate gender studies into the university curriculum. To this end, about fifty courses on gender and sexuality are offered annually at Hitotsubashi University.
Thirdly, the Center invites researchers to disseminate their research in public lectures or symposia.
